Investors Can Be Agents of Positive Change - GB CEO Speaks at MaD Ventures Salon in HK

The Make a Difference (MaD) Ventures Salon has helped take investment mindset to a new level and further build the momentum of Hong Kong's burgeoning development of impact investing.

Held on January 25, 2013, the MaD Ventures Salon is Hong Kong’s first international pitching platform for young entrepreneurs from the city and nine other countries, whose businesses have been designed to make a positive social impact and be profitable at the same time.

The world is in need of more investors contributing to projects that are as effective in bringing about positive changes as they are profitable. As a business angel, Baumann sees the current impact investment landscape is populated by a mixed group of investors. “Some are allocating some of their charity money and make it work as entrepreneurial fund. The others are putting some of their regular investment fund into impact projects.”
