Go Beyond Group Investing is a unique program to support investors as they build, manage and exit a portfolio of early stage investments.
The program allows investors to participate in a professionally supported process to find, analyze and structure investment opportunities and, through a unique pooling mechanism, enables investments in promising start-ups with as little as €2,500 per start-up, an amount usually not acceptable for quality startups.
How does it work?
Pool funds (Individual Investment Contribution) for direct investment in 3 start-up companies plus €2,500 membership fee for the services provided for one year by Go Beyond. This includes attendances at 10 investment events, access to deal flow, coaching by experienced business angels and the investment closing fee.
A Group member's IIC, or Individual Investment Contribution, is specific to each Country due to varying currency exchange rates.
The Group contribution per country, per member x3 investments is:
- CHF 12,000 for Swiss Groups (including specialty groups based in Switzerland, ie ICT, Healthcare)
- €7,500 for Euro Groups
- £6,000 Stirling for UK Groups
The Group meets once a month to discuss and negotiate on potential start-ups. The Group then selects and conducts in-depth due diligence (along with the support and guidance of an experienced Go Beyond coach) on start-ups that show the most promise. If a start-up's due diligence is succesful, the Group will then vote to invest, culminating in an investment in that company.
Each member has the opportunity to 'top-up', ie, investing on top of the minimum Group investment.
Once the investment has taken place, an experienced Deal Leader, under the supervision of Go Beyond, will monitor the start-up's progress and advise the Group periodically. This is support can be used by tapping into the pool of know-how and experience of the Group investors.
